So on the advice of one of my sorority sisters who went to Rome two years ago at this time, I've decided to start a blog, so that one) I can journal about the places I go, the people I meet, and everything in between and I'll have someway to remember it years from now as my memory recedes, and two) so you, my friends and family can check up on me whenever you want without trying to figure out times zones.
I'm an eighth of the way to my final destination for the next four months: Rome, Italy. I'm currently in Saint Louis saying goodbye to everyone here, and hanging out one last time in Dematt. On Wednesday, I leave with my friend Mike and his parents to drive down Chicago, and then Thursday is D-Day, we leave at 2:30 pm our time and arrive at 8:30 am Italy time. I'm hoping to use some of the extensive amount of time on the plane to learn more Italian so I can say something other than ciao when I get off.
I'll try my best to update this as much as I can, and as they say in Italy, ciao for now!
